Born in Slovakia and imported to Canada in December 2023, Rye joined our lively pack with remarkable ease and quickly made himself at home. Bringing his calm confidence and strong presence, he fits seamlessly into the dynamics of our pack.

Rye’s steady temperament and thoughtful nature make him a valued member of the group. He shares a close brotherly bond with Larkin, adding depth and balance to the male contingent of our pack. Together, they complement each other beautifully — a dynamic duo with intelligence and heart.

Despite his calm and confident demeanor, Rye has a super sweet, playful side that shines through whenever he wants attention. His baby-like, puppy-like charm endears him to everyone around and adds a lovable softness to his strong presence.

Rye has proven to be an incredible caregiver as well, showing amazing patience and gentleness as a babysitter for Juni and Larkin’s pups. He also did a fantastic job with the adopted Golden Retriever puppies Jinn raised, demonstrating his nurturing and protective side.

Rye has also represented our breed beautifully at many Canadian Pet Expos, interacting confidently with visitors and serving as an outstanding ambassador for the Czechoslovakian Vlcak. Through these appearances, he’s helped share just how special the Vlcaks are with a wider audience.

​

While his OFA health testing is scheduled for October 2025, we are excited about Rye’s potential future in our breeding program. Pending successful health clearances, he is planned to be the future breeding partner to Missy and Rosie — the daughters of Juni and Larkin — continuing the strength and quality of our lines.

Rye’s quiet strength, gentle spirit, nurturing nature, ambassadorial charm, and endearing sweetness make him a promising and treasured addition to our pack and breeding program. We are proud to have him as part of CZCAN Vlcaks.
