Imported from Slovakia in March 2022, Larkin stepped straight into the beautiful chaos of our busy home and farm — and somehow made it all feel calmer. Arriving amidst a full house of dogs (including Uro, Jinn, Juni, Hilux, and at the time; two visiting Huskies), Larkin immediately fit right in. From day one, he showed the kind of easygoing, thoughtful nature that makes him a natural part of our pack.

He’s already formed strong bonds across the board — including an adorable friendship with our Bat-Cat and an unexpected fan club among the horses, who seem especially fond of him. Larkin now also shares a special brotherly relationship with our younger male Vlcak dog Rye, as well as his best friend Hilux, our Aussie. Their close bond adds warmth and balance to the whole pack dynamic.

Larkin reminds us deeply of our beloved Uro — so much so that it's bittersweet at times. His intelligence, goofiness, emotional depth, and sweetness are a gift, and his presence brings a gentle steadiness to the group. 

 

Friendly with everyone he meets, Larkin has taken to socialization with ease. He enjoys city visits and urban walks — giving him the kind of exposure he wouldn’t normally get out here in the country. Whether it’s people, animals, or new environments, he approaches everything with quiet confidence and curiosity.

Looking ahead, Larkin will be joining us at horse shows, pet expos, and camping trips, following in Uro’s pawsteps with a well-rounded life of experiences.

We’re thrilled to share that Larkin sired his first litter with Juni in January 2025 — a beautiful pairing that brought together two of our strongest temperaments and bloodlines. As all of his health testing is complete and passed, we look forward to watching him grow into a key sire in our program.

​

Whatever path Larkin takes, we know it will be filled with heart, harmony, and purpose. He’s already made such an impact — and his journey is only just beginning.
